Sempai Garry Pascal began his
martial arts
training in 2001 under Shihan John Goff
and Sensei Kulwant Rajwans who were direct students of Roger Lesourd,
the person credited for bringing Kyokushin Karate to Canada in 1968.
He achieved the rank of Shodan (1st Dan) in
December of 2009 under Shihan Roman.
After attending a number of classes under Shihan
Roman Szyrajew, Sensei Bertrand Barron and Sensei Steve
Glickman in early 2004, it was clear that Seishin Karate
dojo would be his new home.
Hard training, pushing oneself to their own personal
limits, while feeding off the energy of everyone on the dojo floor,
is what gives Sempai Garry the passion to contribute whatever he
can to our dojo.
Garry is also our principal instructor and creator of
our “Kyokushin for All” program, which is designed especially for
children with Autism.
