Sensei Ari Roter began his training in 1996 with Sensei Alain Bonnamie under Shihan André Gilbert until 2001 whereupon he joined up with Shihan Roman Szyrajew.  At the early stages of his training, he competed in a couple of semi-contact competitions with 1st and second place finishes.  He is actively involved in judging at various local tournaments and underwent his nidan belt passage on May 21st, 2006 under the watchful eye of Kancho (Matsushima).

Sensei Ari is currently active in both training and teaching at Seishin Karate and has been training at the same location over the past 10 years.
