Seishin Dojo will be having an open house on TUESDAY AUGUST 25, 2009 at 7:00PM.
It is the perfect opportunity to have your friends and family come and see what Karate
is all about. There will be demonstrations on Katas, Fighting (sparring), Self defense and
even Tamashi Wari (breaking). It starts promptly at 7:00pm and will run for about 1 hour.
There will be refreshments afterwards for all!

There will be a "Brown & Black belt" class given by Shihan Roman on Saturday May 9, 2009.
It will be held at the Kirkland Arena (16950 Boul. Hymus, Kirkland, H9J 3Y8) on the second floor.
Shihan is asking all black belts who will be refereeing or judging at the Matsushima Challenge
tournament to bring their whistles with them, as he plans on reviewing the rules.

MATSUSHIMA CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT - May 23rd.
In order to fully participate and support our students at the Matsushima Challenge
tournament, Seishin Dojo will be CLOSED for all classes. We will however be open
on Victoria day to compensate for this closing.

Congratulations to all those that graded on November 23, 2008
There was a belt testing held on November 23, 2008. Beginner kids white/orange and
Adults all levels. Congratulations to all that participated. Results will be given out within
10 days
Seishin Jackets coming soon!
We are pleased to announce that we will be getting "Seishin Dojo" Jackets. These
are Spring/Fall jackets that are beautifully embroidered on the back with the "Seishin Kick Figure"
surrounded by all the colors of the Kyokushin belts. The front is embroidered with a gold kanji.
These jackets are offered only for a limited time. You must pre-order your jacket at reception no
later than January 1, 2008. Once the order is placed, there will not be another chance to obtain one.
This is a great way to show your commitment to your art as well as a great way to show support
for your school. The price of the Jacket is $65 and they come in kids and adult size.
Private classes now available
Private classes are now being offered by Sempei David. The cost of the classes are $50/hour.
If you are interested, please inquire at reception. A perfect way to brush up on everything before
the belt passages in November. Nothing beats learning your katas one on one.
Advanced Katas
Advanced Katas classes every 2nd Saturday from 1:30pm to 3:00pm. Cost of class= FREE.
November Belt passages
Advanced kids grading (Blue belt+) Sunday - November 2, 2008
Beginner kids (White+Orange) and Adults (all levels) grading Sunday - November 23, 2008
Those who are eligible will be receiving invitations. Cost to participate is $10.
Students who successfully pass the test and move to the next level will be advised of the belt costs.
There has been NO increase in fees since last grading.
